It’s not in Washington DC, Philadelphia, or even New York City. One of the most unexpected and award-winning Independence Day fireworks displays is found in the 4.4 square mile town of Addison, TX.
Each year, Addison Kaboom Town! draws over half a million visitors to this small suburb of about 16,000 residents. Surprisingly, Addison boasts more restaurants per capita than any other city in the US, with over 180 dining options and 23 hotels offering special deals for July 4th. The town hosts its pyrotechnic display on July 3rd, kicking off the nation’s Independence Day celebrations.
Addison Kaboom Town! consistently ranks among the top fireworks shows in the country. For more than 30 years, this spectacular fireworks event has been held at Addison Circle Park, a 12-acre venue. The show includes watch parties at nearby restaurants and hotels. The 30-minute fireworks display is accompanied by the Addison Airport Air Show, visible from anywhere in town. After the show, those in the know stay at the park for an exclusive concert by the renowned party band Emerald City.
