Disney Unveils Golden Oak: A Unique Residential Resort Community at Walt Disney World
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., June 23 — Disney has introduced Golden Oak, a distinctive luxury residential resort community offering a rare chance to purchase a home at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Tailored for resort living, Golden Oak will present families with a unique opportunity to connect with the world’s premier family destination and entertainment brand.
“We offer various options for guests to enjoy Walt Disney World Resort, but Golden Oak is truly unique: a residential resort community located right in the heart of the magic,” said Matt Kelly, vice president of Disney Resort Real Estate Development. “Golden Oak will be a place for families to create lasting memories with Disney World right at their doorstep.”
Golden Oak will feature a limited number of custom single-family homes priced between $1.5 and $8 million, with fewer than 30 home sites available for sale this year. Designed by Disney’s renowned Imagineers, this gated community will include intimate neighborhoods and family-oriented amenities. Disney’s meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout, including in the design of the private clubhouse. Nearly half of the 980-acre community will be dedicated to expansive conservation areas.
The private clubhouse will offer concierge services and a range of Walt Disney World Resort benefits, bringing Disney’s exceptional guest service to Golden Oak residents. The community will also include the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, combining Disney’s hospitality with Four Seasons’ standard of excellence. Residents will have access to select future amenities of Four Seasons, such as a full-service spa, restaurants, a golf course, and event spaces.
Initially, Golden Oak will offer three types of single-family homes. Village Homes will evoke the charm of a Mediterranean village on up to one-quarter-acre lots. Estate Homes on approximately half-acre lots will feature various architectural styles, including Tuscan, Spanish Revival, Venetian, Italianate, Dutch Colonial, and Island Colonial. Grand Estate Homes, on up to three-quarters-acre lots, will include styles consistent with Estate Homes and will cater to large families. Homeowners will choose from Golden Oak’s select custom homebuilders to create their dream homes.
For more information, visit the Golden Oak website. Golden Oak will use a Priority Reservation List for prospective homebuyers, with positions secured by signing a Lot Release Priority Agreement and a refundable $25,000 deposit. Deposits are now being accepted, with the first homes expected to be completed in 2011. Ultimately, Golden Oak will comprise approximately 450 homes.
