The 2012 Theme Index from the Themed Entertainment Association in California indicates that Asia is set to become the world’s theme park hub, with consistent growth and the upcoming launch of China’s largest theme park development.
Shanghai Disney is scheduled to open in 2015, with an anticipated 10 million visitors in its first year.
