The Windsor Court Hotel, a luxury 324-room establishment in New Orleans, has been sold for $44.2 million. The new owners, Windsor Court Partners, intend to undertake a two-year renovation of the guest rooms. Orient-Express Hotels Ltd. sold the property, stating that it no longer aligns with their focus on leisure travelers. According to Orient-Express CEO Paul White, “The Windsor Court Hotel is one of North America’s finest properties, but today New Orleans is dominated by corporate and conference business. The foundation of Orient-Express Hotels’ business model is delivering the highest level of our product to our core customers who today are leisure guests.”
