Nobu, the globally renowned Japanese restaurant, has launched its largest location yet at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha. Situated on a private beach in the bustling heart of Doha, this award-winning hotel has collaborated with Chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa to introduce the grandest Nobu establishment to date. In honor of the opening, Four Seasons is offering a special “Taste of Nobu” experience package.
Located by the hotel’s private marina, the 26,000 square-foot Nobu Doha opened its doors on April 17, 2015. It stands as the largest Nobu restaurant in the world and the only one at a Four Seasons hotel in the Middle East. This Doha location is the second Nobu in the Gulf region, following Nobu Dubai at Atlantis The Palm Jumeirah.
The three-level restaurant, designed by renowned architect David Rockwell and his firm Rockwell Group, features a unique architectural style reminiscent of an elaborate coiled shell. This circular design pays homage to Doha’s historic pearl diving heritage. Nobu Doha includes seven distinct dining and lounge areas, with a design palette inspired by nature, featuring warm wood, sparkling glasswork reflecting water elements, and rich layers of textiles.
Catering to guests’ desires for unique flavors and ambiance, Nobu Doha offers an ideal setting for gatherings. The restaurant includes a 134-seat interior dining area, an intimate 10-seat sushi counter, two exclusive private dining rooms, the sophisticated White Pearl Bar & Lounge, the stylish Black Pearl Bar & Lounge, and a distinctive 38-seat rooftop lounge with both indoor and outdoor seating options.
Nobu Doha’s menu reflects Chef Matsuhisa’s extensive travels and international training, featuring new creations that incorporate local ingredients from the region. Signature dishes include yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, lobster with wasabi pepper sauce, and the famous black cod miso.
Celebrating 20 years of culinary success, Chef Matsuhisa expressed his excitement about opening the second Nobu in the Middle East, saying, “It is an honor for me to share my food and culture with different people around the world. I look forward to new challenges and adventures with the opening of Nobu Doha.”
To mark the opening, Four Seasons announced a special “Taste of Nobu” experience package. For $1,275, the package includes a two-night stay in a Premier Room overlooking Nobu Doha and the Arabian Gulf, an Omakase 10-course Chef’s Tasting Menu for two at Nobu Doha, exclusive amenities, and a Nobu cookbook.
