Millennials often receive criticism regarding homeownership, with suggestions that avoiding luxuries like avocado toast would make buying a home feasible. While this may hold for some, high housing costs in coastal cities like New York and San Francisco make purchasing a primary or vacation home challenging.
That changes with YOTELPAD Mammoth, the brand’s third U.S. location following Park City and Miami, set to break ground this spring. Offering 156 efficient PADs (condos) starting at just $300,000, it makes high-tech, high-design living attainable, whether as a first home or a vacation property with potential rental income.
These PADs range from 410 to 629 square feet and start at $300,000. Larger properties, named DOMO, offer up to 1503 square feet in 21 townhomes, starting at $1.5 million. Like all YOTEL locations, YOTELPAD Mammoth provides extensive community amenities for all ages and attentive service, utilizing the latest smart living technologies.
Situated in Mammoth Lakes, California—a year-round destination with one of the longest ski seasons in the country—the property offers a seamless indoor-outdoor experience for owners and guests. The Terrace will serve as a social hub with a bar, multiple fire pits, a year-round pool and hot tub, a dog park, a dedicated yoga area, as well as table tennis and bocce ball courts. The community fireplace lounge will also feature the first-ever YOTELPAD bar. KOMYUNTI, a multi-generational space, will offer areas for guests to relax fireside, mingle at the bar, dine at the on-site restaurant, or use the fully equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals with friends and family. Kids and teens will have dedicated zones with endless activities. Additional amenities in and around MISSION CONTROL (the central lobby area) will include a 24/7 gym, steam room, and GRAB+GO light bites. Seasonal gear and bike storage will be available to owners.
The homes combine smart technology and modern style with a sleek, minimalist design. Key features include YOTEL’s signature adjustable SmartBeds™, adjustable mood lighting, smart TVs, multiple power points, and easy connectivity for PAD guests. Additional tech-forward features available via the YOTEL app include check-in, keyless entry, on-demand Fix-it and Cabin Crews, to-go mobile dining orders, and more.
Signature amenities include robot butlers for in-PAD deliveries, a robotic luggage concierge, app-based ski and car valet services, and Amazon lockers.
It sounds promising. The only remaining question: will avocado toast be on the restaurant menu?
